Raffy accepts and thanked John and Marilyn for everything, before she move back with her siblings. Raffy meets and befriended Alf's grandson, Ryder Jackson, who starts hitting on her and Coco. When Raffy and Coco plans a movie night together, Ryder joins them.
When Justin walked in on Raffy kissing John and Marilyn's new foster son Ty Anderson, he was angry and refused to let her move back to John and Marilyn's home. Raffy struggles in her new year as she also got bullied by Jennifer. While waiting for a bus to get home, Raffy meets an older boy named MacKenzie, who offers her a ride home and she accepts.

In the UK, it and Neighbours, another Australian soap opera, are the most popular of the genre that are filmed internationally, with them both airing on Channel 5. It is one of the highest-rating shows on RTÉ Television in Ireland and TVNZ 2 in New Zealand.
Home and Away follows the lives and loves of the residents in Summer Bay, a fictional seaside town in New South Wales. During the first season alone, it featured several adult-themed storylines such as teen pregnancy, rape, drug and alcohol addiction, drug overdose and attempted suicide. The series has dealt with similar storylines over the years which have often exceeded its restricted time slot. Palm Beach in Sydney's Northern Beaches district has been used as the location for Summer Bay since 1988.

As Raffy listens to his second song, with her eyes closed this time, Ty leans in and kisses her, before John and Justin walked in on them. Marilyn takes a look at Ty's latest song and think it's a sign he wants to meet his mother. John tries to shut down the line of thinking and even Alf tells her not to act on her own. Raffy talks with Ty and realises he's worried his mother won't accept him as gay. Olivia returns from her interview but admits things got awkward when they asked about her time with the Find. Jasmine feels at a loss after her experience with Ebony and decides to befriend Robbo.
When Ty stood up for Raffy when another student purposely bumps into her, making her drop her money, he and Raffy instantly became smitten with each other, both unaware that the other felt the same way. They two argue again when Ty refuses to let her listen to his music. They made peace again and Ty allows Raffy to listen to his music. When Raffy began to listen to his second song with her eyes closed, Ty kissed her. Raffy and Ty continue to spend time together and Raffy asked him if she’s his girlfriend and he says yes only if she wants him and she says yes and they start a relationship.

April 2019 saw a slight rise in the viewing figures; the first episode of the month drew in 740,000 viewers and ranked 9th for that night. The triple bill episodes continued to receive low ratings until the Thursday, 9 May episodes, which improved with 617,000 viewers. The following week's triple bill saw a further rise with 627,000 viewers, while the episodes broadcast on 30 May received 638,000 viewers and ranked at 7th place for the evening. The 2020 season return saw a series low for a premiere with only 548,000 tuning in. The opening episode of the 2021 season saw a rating of 597,000. The 2021 season has seen an increase in ratings with most episodes attracting over 600,000.
In May 2012, the show filmed scenes at Flinders Ranges and Nilpena Station in South Australia for a storyline in which Casey Braxton was kidnapped and taken to the outback by Kyle Braxton . The following month, Home and Away filmed scenes in Melbourne for the second time. In November 2014, the show filmed an episode at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra with several cast members, as a tribute to the Anzac Centenary. In 2017, Brody who was on drugs, shouted at Raffy and Justin was furious. Justin was even more angry when Brody drove high speed with Raffy inside and Justin deeply apologised to Raffy. When Eloise told her that her brother Matt Page and his fiancee Evelyn MacGuire invites her to go to Vietnam with them, which she refuses.

Mason and Justin apologise to Raffy for not believing in her before taking her back home. When Coco returns home, she told them that she has been protesting the community and Raffy and Ryder join forces with her. Raffy challenges Ryder to put his heart on Coco and later admits to him that Coco likes him and he likes her. Raffy attends to Brody’s relaunch party at Salt and hangs out with Coco. While Ty discusses with Raffy pros and cons of contacting his mother to learn why she abandoned him, Marilyn deduces he would from a song text and against John's warning decides to ask her in person.
While settling in the car, MacKenzie makes a move on her, by placing his hand on her leg, but Raffy soon felt uncomfortable and prefers to leave, but MacKenzie drove off, with Raffy inside. Raffy sceams for help, and a man named Beckett Reid race to the car and tells MacKenzie to pull over, but he ignores Robbo. MacKenzie gives up and pulls over, and Robbo pulls Raffy out of the car and MacKenzie drove off. Raffy was hurt when Coco starts to hang out with Jennifer, causing a strain in their friendship. Raffy helps Olivia with her fashion design outfits and Raffy accidentally cuts all of Olivia's fabric, causing Olivia to crack at her and called Raffy stupid, causing Raffy to flee.
Raffy tells Justin about Willow which annoys him and he tells her to be quiet. With Robbo in hiding, Justin fears for Raffy’s safety and Raffy moves back with John and Marilyn. When Raffy returns to Summer Bay High with Coco, Jennifer and Ryder, whose first day at school, Raffy was shocked when Coco cracks at Ryder for pressuring Maggie, who is sick. After Brody's drug addiction got worse, Justin kicks him out, causing Tori, Justin and Mason to argue, which upsets Raffy. Seven's head of creative drama, Bevan Lee, later confirmed that the censorship allegations were in fact false and that the scene would still go to air as planned. They were replaced by a large photo collage showing various locations around Summer Bay.
Seeing the degree of conflict the "influx of parentless children on a tight-knit community" was having, Bateman came away with the idea for a new serial. While Seven Network executives were unconvinced by the idea, audience research was positive. The soap opera was initially called Refuge, but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of Home and Away once production began. Raffy refuses to leave Hope, but Hope gave Raffy to Justin and Raffy cries in Phoebe's arms as Hope is taken away by the police.
The exterior scenes are filmed mainly at Palm Beach, while the interior scenes are filmed at the Australian Technology Park in Redfern. In Ireland, Home and Away debuted on Monday, 3 October as part of RTÉ's re-launch of RTÉ2 as Network 2 - their secondary channel. Episodes screened at 6.30pm and in September 1997, a daytime episode was added at 1.25pm on RTÉ One with the 6.30pm episode becoming the replay of the daytime broadcast. A repeat of the week's episodes is aired on Saturdays and Sundays on RTÉ2. Viewers in the Republic of Ireland are also able to catch up with episodes on the RTÉ Player. It was the most watched program of 2014 on the RTÉ Player with over four million viewers.
When Ty leaves the Bay with his mother, Raffy and Ty had an emotional farewell one last time. When Ava was kidnapped, Raffy blames herself as she unawarely told Ava's kidnapper about Ava's whereabouts. Raffy decided to move back to John and Marilyn and live there permnantly. Raffy later meets John and Marilyn's new foster child Ty Anderson, but she sees him acting rude and she argues with him. She argued with him again at the Diner and again at school. But Ty went too far by telling her that John and Maz will never love her like her own, and she slaps him.
Tori's test is negative but she admits to Leah that she's disappointed about not having a family. Ben and Maggie confide in Tori and Roo respectively about their fears about her coming home and are eventually honest with each other. John discovers Marilyn has gone to see Ty's mother on her own. The next day, Justin realised how Raffy has been feeling and has decided that Raffy should move back with him and their siblings, since Brody has completely recovered from his drug addict.
